Cost of living in Jersey rises by 3.1%

The cost of living in Jersey has risen by 3.1%, according to new statistics from the States.

The latest RPI figures show motoring costs and household services, such as school fees, telephone charges and domestic work were the largest contributors to the rise.

The annual increase in the cost of food is the highest seen in three and a half years, while all consumer price indices recorded their greatest annual rates of increase since 2012.
