A bomb disposal team was sent to Herm over the weekend after a part of a Second World War torpedo was discovered.

The part, believed to be the buoyancy compensator section, was found at extreme low tide. It was free from explosive and is now being recovered.

Police say it may then go on display as part of the War Walks events in Herm during March 2018.
