Guernsey's first electric vehicle charging points have been installed in a car park.

Two stations are ready for use inside the North Beach car park.

The move comes as part of the island's Transport Strategy and could be introduced to other sites, if demand is high enough.

Islanders can download a free App to pay to charge their vehicle.

£1.50
The cost per hour to charge a vehicle in the North Beach car park (up to three hours maximum).

This initiative provides electric vehicle charging stations for the first time in a public car park in Guernsey – a facility that will enable more people (for example Town residents without access to domestic charging points, and people visiting the island in an EV) to use electric vehicles more easily.
