Storm Eleanor: Businesses begin huge clean up operation

Businesses will begin a clean up operation after Storm Eleanor brought gusts of 70 mph and caused flooding in Jersey and Guernsey.

Simon Bellwood owner of St Martin furniture firm, Jersey Oak, told ITV News that the weather has cost him £15,000 in damaged stock and repairs, after the roof of his 900sq ft marquee was blown off in gale-force winds.

Jersey Oak was due to open it's doors today (4th January) after the Christmas period but hopes now to reopen on Saturday (6th January).

The six-strong team have begun a clean up operation.
