A new online service has launched allowing islanders to register to vote in Jersey's general election.

The date for Jersey's General Election 2018.

The move comes as part of plans to make services by parishes more cost effective, convenient and easy to use.

Islanders can register to vote in Jersey from the age of 16 years old and if they have lived in the Island for either the last 2 years or the last 6 months plus additional period(s) that add up to at least 5 years. A person can apply to register up to 3 months before their 16th birthday or after completing either of the residence periods.

A paper application form will still continue to be made available.
