Deputies from Guernsey's political association will hold a public meeting to explain what they are and their intentions.

Deputies Peter Ferbrache, Carl Meerveld and Joe Mooney say the governing structure is not prioritising key issues facing the Bailiwick and they want to improve the way the States of Guernsey functions.

They have arranged the meeting to 'to explain our concept' to all interested islanders in one go.

Deputy Joe Mooney, who represents St Peter Port North said he believes the meeting will be 'a landmark moment in Guernsey’s political history'.

We are overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response to our Political Association initiative. We have had tremendous interest and many requests for more information as well as people volunteering to help. To enable us to brief everyone at the same time we are organising a public meeting to explain our concept and enlist the assistance of people wanting to make it a reality.

– Deputy Carl Meerveld, Charter 2018

The meeting is taking place on Tuesday March 13th between 7:30pm and 9pm in the Harry Bound Room, at Les Cotils, St Peter Port.
