Runners in Jersey raise £17,000 for palliative care service

More than £17,000 has been raised for a palliative care service in Jersey.

Nearly 1,000 people took part in the 5 kilometre charity Colour Run to help fund the new pediatric Palliative Care Worker role at Family Nursing and Home Care (FNHC).

The position has been filled by Nicola Waggot who helps provide emotional support for the children undergoing care and their families.

Every penny will go towards improving the lives of families that have children with life-limiting illnesses...

We can always count on the Jersey community to come together for a great cause like this. We are thrilled with the amount raised by the runners and are so grateful for all the support for Nicola and her role.
