Events are underway across the Channel Islands today to mark World Alzheimer's Day.
Alzheimer's is a degenerative disease that impairs memory and other mental functions.
It is the most common form of dementia, which is the general term for loss of memory and other cognitive abilities.
World Alzheimer's Day is an international campaign that aims to raise awareness and tackle the stigma surrounding the disease.
Jersey Alzheimer's Association is hosting a special tea party at the Royal Hotel featuring a presentation of the Mike Tomkinson Memorial Award and a dementia dance group.
Meanwhile in Guernsey, islanders are 'singing down memory lane' at the Guernsey Alzheimer's Association's event at Delancy.
