Driver threatened with baseball bat

Police in Jersey are appealing for witnesses after a driver was threatened with a baseball bat in St Helier.

The road rage related incident happened at around 5.55pm on Friday 21 September on the Parade road.

A man, who was stopped at the traffic lights, got out of his vehicle wielding a baseball bat and approached a man in a car two vehicles behind.

The man with the baseball bat was described as middle aged and wearing a red t-shirt.

He was driving a white Volkswagen Transporter van.

The two men had a confrontation in the middle of the road outside Kitty O'Shea's pub, which was described as heated and verbal insults were exchanged.

The man with the bat was seen waving it in the direction of the other male several times.

The two men were then separated by a woman who was with the man with the bat.

A man has been arrested and bailed in relation to this incident.
