Guernsey and Jersey Police are two of 14 forces to feature in a report by Wiltshire Police investigating allegations of child abuse made against the former Prime Minister, Sir Edward Heath.

The report concluded an allegation, said to have taken place in Guernsey, would have resulted in Sir Edward Heath being interviewed under caution, if he were alive today.

The allegation was made by a UK resident in August 2015 and an interview was carried out by Thames Valley Police. The disclosure was referred to Wiltshire Police for investigation as part of Operation Conifer.

Guernsey Police say as the victim was not local to the Channel Islands, any ongoing requirement for Victim Support in relation to this allegation is being handled by Wiltshire Police.
