Big win for Jersey RFC away at Bedford

Jersey RFC have come away with an impressive win after a tough game against Bedford Blues.

Bedford were leading 18-17 until the last 5 minutes of the game when the Reds earned themselves a penalty 30 metres away from the post. Brendan Cope's calmly stepped up to put his side up 18-20.

And with one of the very last plays of the game Jersey broke away to score a last minute try making the final score 18-25.

Tough win for Jersey RFC against bottom side Moseley

Jersey came away with tough 22-18 win against bottom of the championship Moseley as they returned to St Peter for the first time in five weeks.

Moseley gave the Islanders no room to breath and even forced Jersey to go into half-time a point behind.

The reds rallied in the second scoring two quick tries through James Freeman and Uili Kolo'ofai. Moseley refused to surrender however and scored a try of their own, not letting the home side get too far away.

In the end it was Jersey who controlled the game, pushing for a bonus point try but not quite managing to get across the line.

Head Coach Harvey Biljon says his players will be disappointed they did not secure a bonus point but that they did well to get the win in the first place:

Jersey RFC through to B&I Cup Quarter Finals after historic win away at Doncaster

Jersey RFC have qualified for the B&I Cup Quarter Finals for the first time in their history.

They beat Doncaster Knights away at Castle Park.

The game went right down to the line, Jersey scoring the winning try with their very last possesion.

The final score was 19-24.

Doncaster still finish on top of Pool 5 but the win gives the Reds enough points to qualify.

Games between the two clubs have been closely contested throughout the three seasons they have played at the same level.

This year has been no exception, each side with a win a piece and two draws.
