Nikki Holmes makes British Championships final

Shooter Nikki Holmes said she was "pleased" with her performance after coming sixth at the British Airgun Championships in Bisley.

The Caesarean, who won four gold medals at last summer's NatWest Island Games, told ITV News making the final was her aim after recently recovering from an injury.

"I started off fairly well in the final but a few loose shots saw me slip from an early fourth place to sixth. This competition is the second this year in my qualifying preparations for Gold Coast 2018. A long way to go but I'm pleased with my results so far."

The winner of the event was Great Britain's Georgina Geike, who competed at the London Olympics and has won two Commonwealth Games bronze medals.
