Passengers travelling on the Condor Liberation this evening faced disruption to their travel plans because of 'expectantly high wind' speeds and high tides.
The ferry company said the captain of the Liberation, upon arrival in Jersey, decided it would be safest to divert to Guernsey.
Passengers bound for Jersey will travel on the Commodore Clipper, with an arrival time approximately three hours later than scheduled.
Those in Jersey wishing to travel to Poole will be transferred to the Clipper service to Portsmouth, where space permits, this evening.
While passengers due to travel on Condor Liberation from Jersey to Guernsey will be transferred to the next available service or offered a full refund.
