Cricketer's statement

The Pakistan cricketer who was reported to have accused his team mates of trying to fix matches fought back on Sunday night.

Yasir Hameed said he had only been repeating allegations he'd read in the newspapers to the undercover reporter who - unknown to him - was secretly filming the conversation.

ITV News has learned that the News of the World is now to hand over its dossier of evidence about match rigging allegations to "the relevant authorities."

The Pakistan Cricket Board issued a statement on behalf of the player, saying his comments were misreported.

It came as the Pakistan squad were in Cardiff to play their first twenty20 match against England.
