Father helps UK police

Police in Manchester say the father of a 5-year-old British boy who's been kidnapped in Pakistan is helping them with their investigation.

Raja Saeed was on holiday with his son when he was snatched by armed raiders. Sahil Saeed was taken at from his grandmother's house in the Punjab region of Pakistan by raiders who demanded a £100,000 ransom.

Chief Superintendent Darren Shenton from Greater Manchester Police said: "Mr Saeed is working with us, and his wife and the family for the safe release of his son... Our primary concern is Sahil's welfare and his safe return."

Raja Saeed returned to Oldham this week and has now been reunited with his wife.
