Fighting ovarian cancer

Scientists have found a way to help women suffering from ovarian cancer to keep clear of the disease for longer.

Clinical trial results show a combined treatment of the drug Avastin and chemotherapy extended remission time by six months.

Avastin, which starves tumors of blood supply, is already a key weapon in the fight against colon, lung, breast and other types of cancers.
