Everton defender Leighton Baines could miss the rest of the season after learning the hamstring tear he suffered at Wembley will keep him sidelined for about four weeks.
Up to this month, Leighton Baines had played in 99 consecutive Premier league matches.
It was initially hoped the 27 year old were recover in time for Sunday's trip to Manchester United but tests have shown a grade two tear, which normally needs at least four weeks rest.
The news has not brought into question the full backs availability for England at this summer's European Championships.
Baines is hotly tipped by many to replace long-standing England left back Ashley Cole.
In the meantime Everton could be forced to play captain Phil Neville at left back at Old Trafford, with no other natural left back in the squad.
