A Lancashire couple have seen their dreams come true by finishing off their wedding ceremony with a picture with the Olympic torch.
Darren Heys, from Lumb in Rossendale and his bride Catherine Lloyd married in St James The Less RC church in Rawtenstall on Saturday, just in time to see the torch as it headed down Burnley Road.
The couple had planned for their big day to begin at 12.30pm but moved the ceremony forward after learning it would clash with the Olympic procession.
Catherine said:''the torch would have been passing by whilst the ceremony was going on so we decided to make it earlier so that we could enjoy seeing the torch go past with everyone else outside''.
The torchbearer stopped just long enough to take a picture with the happy couple before the relay continued on its journey.
Catherine said: ''It's amazing, everything I could have wished for and has made our day extra special''.
