Son arrested after Sale double shooting
The son of a couple found shot dead in their home in Sale is being questioned on suspicion of murder.
Officers were called to Clough Avenue in Sale following a concern for welfare call. Police found the bodies of Bob Seddon, 68, and his wife Patricia, 65, on Friday.
Their son Nic Seddon , 45, was arrested the following day at his home in Seaham, County Durham.
Greater Manchester Police said it was conducting a "dynamic, fast-paced investigation" into the double shooting.
Four months ago Mr and Mrs Seddon managed to escape death when a car driven by their son plunged into Bridgewater Canal in Timperley.
Father-of-three Nic Seddon said he smashed his window to escape himself and then helped pull his
16-year-old nephew to safety before going back got his father.
Fire crews rescued them both, then saved the life of Mrs Seddon.
