Lancashire spinner Simon Kerrigan is looking forward to learning and playing with Test players Ravi Bopara and Eoin Morgan as the England Lions prepare to face Australia 'A'.
The 23-year-old - who has taken 38 wickets at an average of just over 30 - is hoping to make the XI for tomorrow's game at Old Trafford, the first of two four day matches against the tourists.
"Over the next couple weeks we get a couple of games. It is an elite squad of players here so it is a good opportunity," he told Sky Sports News.
"There's Eoin Morgan, Ravi Bopara, people who have played Test cricket, experienced county players.
"It's good to be around them and bowl at them in the nets and hopefully playing in the games with them.
"It's good to face quality opposition and to get into the starting XI and try and show what I've got."
