A headteacher from Rochdale who has been savagely beaten twice because of his job is calling for more parenting classes to help tackle classroom violence.

Kieran Heakin needed facial surgery after he was attacked by a former pupil. In a separate incident he was beaten up again at school by a parent of one of his pupils.

Mr Heakin says he is now seeing extremes of parenting which he blames for the increase in violence.
