Paralympic Games: Manchester athlete breaks another world record

Day one of the the Paralympic Games has delivered great results for our region, with cyclist Sarah Storey from Manchester breaking another world record.

Sarah posted the record time in her qualifying heat of the individual pursuit.

She already has 18 Paralympic medals to her name and is one of this country's most successful Paralympians.

Sarah made her Paralympics debut in the pool in 1992 aged just 14 but switched cycling in 2005, where she won two gold medals in the individual pursuit and the individual time trial in Beijing.
