Super-fast 4G mobile internet launches in Manchester and Liverpool today. Everything Everywhere (formerly Orange and T-Mobile) is offering 4G in 11 British cities. It says it's 5 times as fast as 3G.
As of today, residents of the two cities will be among the first in the UK to experience EE's pioneering superfast mobile service. £13.8 million has been invested in the network in the region.
Jason Salt, regional manager for EE in Manchester said: "Manchester has always been at the forefront of media and technology, and there is a real demand for the latest developments. We are delighted that we are able to offer this service to Manchester as one of the first cities in our roll-out.
EE will become the first company in the UK to provide 4G mobile services, as well as Fibre Broadband.
