Merseyside Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg in north Liverpool last night - Wednesday October 31.
Officers were called to Moss Lane in Orrell Park shortly after 7.30pm by the ambulance service.
When they arrived they found a 35-year-old man being treated outside a house for injuries to his lower left leg.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries described as not life-threatening. His condition is described as stable.
Detectives from the force's anti gun crime Matrix unit are investigating.
The scene has been sealed off for forensic examination and Moss Lane has been cordoned off at the junction with Ilford Road.
Merseyside Police say a highly visible police presence is currently in the area to reassure the community.
