The MOBO awards are returning to Liverpool following the success of the 2010 awards. The

ceremony at the ECHO Arena tonight is open to around 6,000 members of the public and 1,000 VIPs ready to celebrate the best in British urban music.

Manchester's Misha B and Liverpool's Esco Williams will join chart-topping acts such as JLS. Emeli Sande and Labrinth at the star-studded event. Emeli is nominated for five awards including Best Video for 'My Kind of Love' and Best Female Act - she's set to begin the evening with a performance of the same song nominated for the video award.

The MOBOs, which celebrate urban music in the UK, are now in their 17th year.
