Music fan Adam Masters has made £6,600 for charity by selling a piece of the city’s rock history in an internet auction.
The 34 year old from Altrincham asked stars including Liam and Noel Gallagher, Johnny Marr, Peter Hook and Shaun Ryder to sign his guitar.It was then auctioned to raise money for the Children’s Hospice Arts charity.
The auction on eBay was won by a mystery American music fan in Washington DC.

“I was just amazed. It was well worth getting all the autographs on the guitar and it is great news for the charity. It’s going to support hospices. I was there when everyone signed it and every legendary icon loved it. They were happy to do it."
