Welshman Morgans played for United in the 1950's and was a member of the famous Busby Babes side that were manager by Sir Matt Busby.
On February 6th 1958 Kenny Morgans was part of the Manchester United squad that was involved in the Munich air disaster.
The side were returning from a European Cup match against Red Star Belgrade when the plane he and his team mates were travelling in crashed on take off claiming the lives of 20 of the 44 people on board including members of the Busy Babes side.
Morgans was found unconscious amongst the debris by two journalists five hours after the official search was called off.
He made a full recovery and continued playing for United, later joining Swansea Town and Newport County.
Today Manchester United announced that Morgans had been taken ill on Saturday night but died later in hospital.

Last year Morgans was made a guest of honor at Swansea City as they took on Manchester United, walking the Liberty Stadium turf with fellow Busby Babe Bobby Charlton.
