Police investigating the murder of Yuriy Kozak have been given more time to interview one of the suspects. Officers have been granted a warrant of further detention to continue interviewing a 46-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder. The other arrested man, 45-years-old, has been released without charge in connection with the murder but is now on bail until Wednesday 9 January 2013 for assisting an offender. A post mortem examination concluded that Yuriy died from a single stab wound to the neck. Shortly after 4.30pm yesterday, Tuesday 1 January 2013, police received a report that a man had been stabbed at a flat on Rodney Street, Salford. Emergency services attended and found Yuriy, 46, had suffered a serious stab wound. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
