Police in Liverpool are searching for a thief who stole £50 worth of bacon from a supermarket.
Shortly before 11.15am on Christmas Eve, the man walked into the Sainsbury’s store at Liverpool Central station and stole £50 of bacon.

“We have viewed CCTV from the store and it appears the man simply walked into the shop, selected the bacon, and placed the meat into a satchel before calmly walking away.
“And our enquiries have revealed the man returned to the shop on New Year’s Even and stole a further £10 of bacon.”
The British Transport Police has released the CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to in connection with the thefts.
Police are asking anyone who recognises the man, or has any information about the thefts, to call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
