Tributes are being paid to the wife of a prominent Liverpool businessman whose body was found in a car on Friday morning.
Nicole Falkingham, the wife of Urban Splash property development chief Jonathan Falkingham, was found in Eastwood, Otterspool, outside Liverpool city centre in ‘unexplained’ circumstances.
Police have said that they are awaiting toxicology results from a post-mortem examination, although provisional indications suggest that Mrs Falkingham, 41 from Allerton, suffered from hypothermia and acute alcohol intoxication.
Police have confirmed that a 48-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and have been released pending further investigation.
The pair was also detained on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, as police discovered a ‘cannabis factory with at least 100 plants’ when they arrived at the address.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Mrs Falkingham on Thursday 24th January after she left the Vinci bar on Allerton Road at around 9pm. They believe she was drinking with the man and woman who reported finding her in their vehicle and the three left the premises together.
Anyone who may have information which could help the police with their inquiries should contact Admiral Street CID on 0151 777 5394, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
