Two dead after major road collision in Boothstown, Salford

Two people have died after a collision between several vehicles in the Boothstown area of Salford. Police say it happened just after a red Audi was stolen from a nearby house.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service say at least one car is alight and 25 officers are dealing with the incident on Leigh Road.

A recent statement from emergency services says fire crews are still working to bring the fire under control. There are no reports of any other casualties.

There are also reports of impact damage to a number of terraced houses at the scene.
