Coronation Street's Sally Dynevor will mark a major milestone in the £3.5m extension of a Manchester children's hospice.
The actress, who plays Sally Webster, will attend a 'topping out' ceremony, as builders reach the highest point of the two-storey, seven bedroom development.
Sally will hammer a nail in to the roof of the building during the ceremony later.
Francis House was opened by Princess Diana in 1991.
It provides care for children and young adults with life-threatening conditions, as well as providing support and friendship for their families.
Work on the new extension started nine months ago.
