Police investigating the death of a Warrington teenager have arrested three local males on suspicion of supplying drugs and perverting the course of justice
All 3 males are 16 years of age, and are currently assisting with enquiries.
The arrests follow the death of Ellie Jones, aged 16 in the early hours of this morning. Ellie was at a friend?s house in Warrington when she began to experience breathing difficulties. She was treated by paramedics at the scene, and then taken by ambulance to Warrington hospital, but sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff, she died shortly before 5 a.m. this morning.A post mortem was conducted this afternoon, but was inconclusive regarding the cause of death. The results of further toxicology tests are awaited.
Police are continuing to appeal for information from the local community as enquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances leading up to Ellie?s death. Anyone with any information can contact Warrington Police on the national non emergency number, 101.
