Detective Inspector Andy Cunliffe of GMP's Major Incident Team said: "A man has been arrested in connection with this investigation and interviewed by detectives.

"This investigation is still very much ongoing as officers work to piece together exactly what happened that night and the victim is understandably still trying to recover from her ordeal.

"If you went to that party or have any information about what happened, I would urge you to contact the incident room immediately. You may not have been aware of what was going on, but you may have some information that could be vital to the investigation".
