Rest of the week......
Many areas drier and brighter but a breezier day with a few scattered showers. Showers are more likely in the west during the morning, transferring east during the afternoon. Temperatures will improve a little too. Highs 15C but winds will again make it feel colder.
Although the entire day is not a washout a spell of rain will move through the region from the west. Wet and windier weather will give way to sunshine and showers later in the day. Highs 15C
The end of the week doesn't look too bad. A mainly dry day with some sunshine and a moderate westerly breeze. Highs 16C
There is some uncertainty regarding the weekend forecast. A ridge of high pressure builds from the south of the UK, initially promising more settled and slightly warmer conditions.
The positioning of the high depends on whether our region stays dry or wet but at this stage it looks like late summer sunshine and decent temperatures will say goodbye to this weeks unsettled, Autumnal weather. Highs by Saturday possibly up to 19C.
