Low pressure remains in charge for Monday, feeding in a steady stream of showers - some heavy, some merging to longer spells of rain.
By Tuesday conditions settle down a little bit. Early mist and fog will give way to drier and brighter conditions.
Despite the risk of a few scattered showers over The Pennines the afternoon should be dry with some sunshine. It will feel a little warmer too.
Unfortunately this week is changeable - a mixture of good days and bad days.
Our weather moves in from the west/southwest by midweek, feeding in a milder air flow but wet and windy spells for both Wednesday and again on Friday.
Thursday is the better day in between - here we could see a few scattered blustery showers but it will be bright with some sunshine and probably the warmest day of the week.
