SUNDAY NIGHT:

A clear start on Sunday evening but soon clouding over with rain and brisk winds spreading east to all parts by the early hours.

A chilly start to the night, but temperatures recovering with the onset of rain. Minimum temperature 2 °C

MONDAY:

Generally wet and windy through the morning.

Rain should become lighter through the afternoon with winds easing but it will stay mostly cloudy with further patchy rain at times. The best chance of brightness will be the Isle of Man and Cumbria.

A milder day. Afternoon highs 11-13 °C

OUTLOOK:

Tuesday: Windy with sunny spells and scattered showers.

Wednesday: Bright and breezy for much of Wednesday but rain and stronger winds spreading south later.

Thursday: Windy, showery and feeling colder.
