A rather cloudy and dull day with patchy rain or drizzle possible at times, especially over higher ground. More persistent rain moving south into Cumbria through the evening. The best of any brightness over southern counties. Maximum Temperature 11 °C.


Rain gradually spreading southwards overnight. Colder, clearer conditions following in the north, perhaps with a touch of frost forming in sheltered parts of Cumbria by dawn. Minimum Temperature 1 °C.


Some bright or sunny spells for a time, especially over Cumbria, before cloud and patchy rain in the south moves northwards again through the afternoon, turning heavy overnight into Monday. Maximum Temperature 11 °C.

Cloud and rain slowly clearing to the south through Monday bringing air in from the north.

Colder theme from Tuesday with sunny intervals, wintry showers, frost and ice.

Snow is likely over higher ground Tuesday (settling above 200m) with a mixture of rain/sleet and wet snow for lower levels.
