Monday's forecast for the NW. Treacherous start...

Monday starts frosty, cold and foggy for many areas, but away from any mist patches, bright and cold. Best of any sun in the morning.

There were some dense mist and freezing fog patches on Sunday night though, and these may take a while to clear. In fact, it could stay foggy right the way through into Monday afternoon in Manchester and highs here will only reach 2-3c at best. Elsewhere, fog should lift by the afternoon.

In general, cloud develops during Monday afternoon turning any sunny spells into bright spells.

Temperatures slightly down on Sunday's values at 4-6c, 39-43f. Lower than this in any stubborn fog.
