Former soldier set to complete 8,000 mile charity trek around UK coastline
A former soldier says he "cried" at seeing Blackpool Tower, as he nears the end of a 8000-mile charity trek.
Christian Nock failed to find a job when he left the Army and decided to walk around the UK's coastline to raise funds for Help the Heroes.
He started his trek in the resort in August 2012 and has now raised £200,000.
Christian, who served in five tours of Northern Ireland, also wanted to raise money and awareness for soldiers who face homelessness and unemployment after leaving the forces.
To show his commitment, the 39-year-old slept rough for the entire journey, carrying his supplies on his back.
The former soldier has also found love on his fundraising tour - meeting his new girlfriend Kelly after she turned out to encourage him as he walked through Kent.
