Rain will then quickly develop and push eastwards, bringing an unsettled lunchtime with showers merging to rain, especially in the north and persisting into the evening.
Further south, to parts of Cheshire and the High Peak, we are likely to see a few breaks in the cloud and for the rain to be more showery.
Breezy - with gusts 35-40mph for the coast and Isle of Man. Highs around average but feeling cooler compared to Tuesday.

THURSDAY - Breezy with outbreaks of rain, easing slowly later in the day to sunshine and showers.
FRIDAY - Sunny breaks but heavy showers, with the risk of hail and thunder. Blustery with stronger winds.
WEEKEND - A little cooler to start Saturday and a rather cloudy and damp day. Brighter with showers Sunday.
