Granada Weather - Rest of the Week

From Peckforton Hills looking over the Cheshire Plains KEVIN LYTH Photo:

It's been a gusty start to the week with sunny spells and showers developing, some heavy with thunder and lightning.

For the rest of this week we continue on a similar theme. Wednesday and Friday look like being the drier days, with Tuesday and Thursday at a higher risk of some heavy and thundery downpours.

Winds will remain fresh, making showers blustery and it feel even cooler than the struggling daytime highs of 15-17C.

Here's your GRANADA forecast for the rest of the week......

The weekend's low pressure system to the north of the UK. This feeds in a strong showery flow from westerly quarter Credit: Met Office/ITV

REST OF MONDAY:

It will remain windy for most overnight with a mixture of scattered showers and clearer spells. A few of these showers could be heavy, whilst the best of the drier conditions are likely across Cheshire. Lows 12°C.

TUESDAY:

A mostly dry start, although cloud will gradually spread southwards, bringing persistent rain to Cumbria later. Further blustery showers are likely elsewhere with sunny intervals. Breezy, especially along exposed coasts. Cooler feel with highs 17°C.

OUTLOOK:

Staying breezy on Wednesday and Thursday with sunshine and showers, these heavier and more widespread on Thursday.

Turning increasingly more settled on Friday with most places dry and bright and winds becoming lighter.

Feeling cool throughout.
