The North West is braced for a busy weekend, with lots of major events happening over the bank holiday.

So, what's on?

MANCHESTER PRIDE

This year's Pride parade starts on Liverpool Street at 1pm and will weave its way through the city centre.

CREAMFIELDS

There are still tickets available for Creamfields, the UK's biggest dance festival, which opens today, and runs until Sunday.

Big names such as Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim and Tiesto will be taking the stage.

As well as these major events, there are also a number of others, including the Bolton Food and Drink Festival, and North Pier Live.
