Sunny spells in the north this morning, but quite a bit of cloud. Misty and murky over higher routes. Further south, rather cloudy across Cheshire, with some light rain in places, but decent sunny breaks along the west coast. Improving later, rain clearing to cloud and sunny spells, gentle NW'erly breezes, tops 16c near the coast, nearer 18c elsewhere.

Dry, warm and settled for the rest of the first week of September. Cloudy on Tuesday though, best sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday.
