A group of Blackpool FC fans have written an open letter to Owen Oyston, calling on the club's owner to put it up for sale.

The Tangerine Knights describe the club's predicament as a "farcical situation" describing the team "marooned at the bottom of the league".

Whole families have returned their season ticket cards to the club, others have torn up their cards, others have simply stopped going."

The letter goes on to urge Mr Oyston, who has owned Blackpool FC since 1988, to appoint a new chairman and chief executive and "start proceedings to sell the club".

...You must see part family and see that for the future of the club, radical changes must be made.

"This has to begin with a new chairman and or chief executive and the club being put up for sale."
