Preston North End players visited the children’s ward at Royal Preston Hospital to meet patients who were spending Christmas in the ward.

The players and management made their annual visit to the ward to bring presents and meet to the children.

The team spent time playing with the children and brought gifts including selection boxes and computer games.

“We want to say a big thank you to PNE for taking the time every year to make Christmas on the ward extra special, and for spending time with our young patients.

All of the staff, patients, and their families really appreciate what they do, and we’re very grateful.”

“It’s always nice to give something back especially around Christmas time to these young kids who are in an unfortunate position where they’re currently in hospital.

To see some of the reactions we get from some of the kids that are in here is priceless because their eyes light up, it cheers them up and makes them forget about everything that’s going on around them and that in itself is priceless.

I’ve been part of this squad for a few years now and we’ve been coming here since then and I’ve even come to know some of the members of staff that work here now."
