Police are appealing to the public to help identify these four men following a ‘sickening’ attack on a student.

Detectives believe they may be from Rochdale. It comes after a student was ‘lured’ to a flat, imprisoned, forced to strip naked and assaulted in university halls in Preston.

The 19-year-old victim went to visit a friend at Sanctuary Halls in Moor Lane after walking from the nearby University of Central Lancashire library. But when the entered the flat he was attacked by four men.

Threats were then made towards the victim with the gang demanding cash. The men then left the flat, with the victim escaping a short time later before contacting police.

He suffered injuries to his nose and face and detectives say they want to speak to the men pictured in connection with the assault.

“This was a sickening and abhorrent attack where the victim was lured to an address in Preston before being assaulted and threatened. “The incident has left the 19-year-old very shaken and it is crucial we find those responsible. “Following extensive CCTV enquiries, we want to speak to these four men in connection with the offences. “Intelligence suggests the men might be from the Greater Manchester area, possibly Rochdale. “If you recognise any of the individuals involved, please contact police immediately.”
