Thugs who beat grandmother with baseball bat are jailed for a total of 37 years

The thugs who burst into Barbara Dransfield's bungalow in Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, and beat her with a baseball bat have been jailed for a total of 37 years.

At Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, Nathan Clark, 24, and Stephen Mortin, 23, were sentenced to 19 years and 18 years respectively.

At the time of the attack, it's believed the two men from Hyde, had been after Barbara's son for a £100 drug debt.

Barbara was on a life support machine and in a coma for two weeks with every single bone in her face broken after being savagely beaten by two men armed with baseball bats.
