A driver in a hired Lamborghini smashed into a bus stop and ploughed into a fence before abandoning the luxury car.
Police were called to reports of a collision involving a supercar on Deane Road, in Bolton, at around 1.30pm on Monday.
The driver of the blue car is thought to have driven around a junction at speed before smashing into a bus stop post. The vehicle then bounced off the kerb and careered into a garden fence, flattening a gate.
The driver fled, leaving the car in the front garden. It was later discovered the luxury motor had been hired.The front of the car was left badly damaged and the alloys had shattered. Nobody was injured.
Police are investigating and are appealing for the driver to contact them. Officers are also asking for witnesses, or anyone with information, to get in touch. No arrests have yet been made.
