Heavy showers and strong winds are the focus as we head into the new week
Heavy, squally showers will continue overnight, perhaps merging to give some longer spells of rain at times. It will remain windy, with gales around exposed coasts and hills. Gusts 40-50mph. Lows 9°C.
SHOWERY & BLUSTERY:
Staying windy on Monday with a mixture of sunshine and heavy, blustery showers. These could bring hail and thunder and it will continue to feel rather cool. Highs around 17°C but feeling more like 12°C.
Conditions should ease for Tuesday day - fewer and lighter showers with winds easing slightly. There is some uncertainty regarding Tuesday night, but at this stage evening rain will arrive from the west, accompanied by very strong winds with potential gusts 55-60+mph.
